Joe R. Lansdale is the author of over 40 novels and 400 short stories, essays, articles, reviews, and introductions. He has written screenplays, comic books, stage plays, and poetry. Lansdale has received many awards for his work, including The Edgar Award, nine Bram Stokers, and many others. He is a member of The Texas Literary Hall of Fame, Texas Institute of Literature, Writer in Residence at Stephen F. Austin State University. He is the founder of Shen Chuan Martial Science.
